Welcome !

The San Antonio Choral Society was founded in 1965 by Gwilym H. Isaac. It is an organization in which auditioned singers drawn from the community can participate in providing quality presentations of a variety of choral works to San Antonio and South Texas audiences.

Now in its 47th Concert Season, the San Antonio Choral Society is recognized as a musical organization of outstanding quality and is noted for its variety of musical presentations.

Our Mission
The Mission of the San Antonio Choral Society is to foster the joy of choral music by providing an opportunity for men and women to perform a wide range of innovative and diverse programs in a variety of venues, and to be a visible and viable part of the San Antonio arts community.

The SACS' last 2010-2011 season concert, held on May 16, was a stirring rendition of "The Music of Robert Ray."  The featured works, "Gospel Mass" and "Gospel Magnificat," were led by the composer.  The concert was attended by an audience of over 650.  In his final concert with the SACS, Artistic Director Aaron Hufty conducted a moving performance of "The Creation" from the musical "God's Trombones" featuring readers from the Second Baptist Church youth choir.
